Debbie Holder

Debbie Holder BSc RGN BA SCPHN (OH) is the Director of Occupational Health Services Ltd. I qualified as a general nurse in 1991 and then obtained a further degree to qualify as a specialist occupational health nurse practitioner in 1999.

I have worked in OH departments for large organisations for 12 years (The Railways, Bupa, GlaxoSmithKline) and then set up my own company which has built up a large client-base since 2009. Although specializing in the pharmaceutical industry, my clients come from a variety of sectors including manufacturing, warehousing, IT as well as charitable organisations. I work with mainly small and medium-sized businesses, and provide ad-hoc occupational health services in Hertfordshire and the North London area.

I enjoy working for smaller organisations and feel I understand the complex needs and demands of a small business and the significant impact that ill-health and absence can make on them. I aim to provide practical useful advice that managers can rely on when having to make difficult business decisions, whilst effectively balancing the needs of the employer and employee.

My particular interests and expertise lie in the needs of pharmaceutical industries, specifically chemical and biological agents, the needs of smaller businesses, proactive complex case management of long-term sickness absence and managing stress in the workplace. I can be flexible and can consider providing services outside usual working hours where the client requires it.
